Stereophonic explores the highs and lows of artistic creation, zooming in on a 1976 music studio where an up-and-coming rock band is recording a new album. As they teeter on the edge of superstardom, the pressures of fame threaten either a dramatic breakup or a defining breakthrough. Written by David Adjmi, directed by Daniel Aukin, and featuring original music by Arcade Fire’s Will Butler, Stereophonic offers a fly-on-the-wall glimpse into the intense, electrifying process of a band on the verge of exploding onto the music scene.
